The tradition of Maryland men's lacrosse is unlike any other in the country. Just one look at the numbers and you can see why: 98 Seasons, 882 Wins, 35 Conference Titles, 28 NCAA Final Fours, 522 All-Americans, and 12 National Championships.

Since 2011 Maryland has produced the most All-Americans (85), won the most NCAA tournament games (28) and appeared in more Final Fours (9) than any other school.

The 2022 Maryland Terrapins capped off the first undefeated season since 2006 with the school's fourth NCAA title and was the first team in NCAA history to finish with a perfect 18-0 record.

Maryland's record-setting offense in 2022 set program records in points (522), goals (318), goals per game (17.67), and assists (204). The team's 204 assists were an NCAA record.

Maryland touts the best fans in college lacrosse, boasting the No. 1 attendance in 2019 while finishing in the top-5 in both average and total attendance in every season since 2015.

Blending a mix of the program's historic motto, "Be The Best," with his own principles of high character in all aspects of life, John Tillman has created a formula that has resulted in one of the most successful eras in Maryland lacrosse's illustrious history.

Maryland has won the most Big Ten regular season & tournament titles (10) since B1G lacrosse was established in 2015.

Maryland produced more professional lacrosse players (25) than any other school in 2023, as the Maryland alumni-dominated Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club won two straight PLL titles from 2019-20. Matt Rambo ('17) was named the MVP of the PLL in 2019, while Matt Dunn ('16) was named the Defenseman of the Championship Series. Michael Ehrhardt ('14) is a four-time Long Stick Midfielder of the Year and Kyle Bernlohr ('16) is the reigning Goalie of the Year. Connor Kelly ('18) led the Waterdogs to the 2023 PLL Championship.

Maryland lacrosse hasn’t just made an impact in the United States, former Terps have their handprints all over international success. Five hardshells took home the gold medal with the United States in the 2018 World Championships and five stand on the current 2023 United States roster for the 2023 World Championships in San Diego. In addition to the five on Team USA, five other Terps took part in the 2023 World Championship, playing for Israel, Jamaica, the Philippines and Puerto Rico.
