Maryland field hockey has long been the standard of excellence around the country. With eight NCAA titles, 21 Final Four appearances and a winning percentage of over 75 percent, the Terrapins represent the best of the best.

Led by dynamic, fearless women, the Maryland field hockey program is the Best of the Best:

Head coach Missy Meharg has led the Terps for the past 35 years, along the way winning seven national titles as a head coach. She has been named National Coach of the Year an unprecedented nine times. Meharg owns a record of 624-160-9, with a winning percentage of .793.

The Terrapins have advanced to 21 Final Fours, including 20 under Meharg.

Five Terps have won seven Honda Awards - an honor for the nation's top player.

Maryland currently owns the longest active streak of NCAA Tournament appearances at 27 consecutive bids.

Six former Terrapins have competed in the Olympics, including Terp legends Katie O’Donnell Bam and Keli Smith-Puzo.

In the nine years since joining the Big Ten, the Terrapins have earned 20 All-Big Ten selections.
