Big Ten: 12th

  • Maryland took ninth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, reflecting an overall pattern of improvement for the Terps throughout the course of the 2016 campaign, which saw the team win both of its early season meets. The squad’s average time of 21:52 was one of its best team averages in the past decade, and will set the stage for a continued rise for the Terps in seasons to come.
  • Junior Alexandra Lucki was named All-Mid-Atlantic Region by the USTFCCCA after placing inside the top-25 at the regional championship on Nov. 11. Lucki’s 18th place finish at regionals was the best overall finish by a Terp since the 2011 season.
  • Lucki’s 31st overall finish at the Big Ten Championships was the best-ever for a Terp at B1Gs.
