WOMEN'S TENNIS

Overall: 16-6 • Big Ten: 7-4

No. 5 Seed at Big Ten Championships

  • Led by its senior class, the Maryland women’s tennis team put together the winningest spring season in program history, and tied for the most overall wins in program history
  • The Terps earned the No. 5 seed in the B1G Tournament for the second consecutive year after not qualifying in their inaugural season in the conference
  • Senior Alexandra Stanova emerged as one of the conference’s top performers this season, and earned Maryland’s first All-Big Ten honor since joining the conference
  • The Terps were paced by junior Ekaterina Tour, who led the team in both doubles (15), and singles (15) victories
  • Maryland’s success began during their fall slate, when they collected five doubles championships as a team...seniors Alexandra Stanova and Kristina Hovsepyan captured the doubles title at the ITA Atlantic Regional event, which qualified them for ITA National Indoors at the prestigious Arthur Ashe tennis center in Flushing Meadows, NY
