WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

Big Ten: 11th

  • Maryland had another stellar season on the track, as five school records were set during the outdoor season.
  • Senior Lisa Meneau became the fastest 400 meter hurdler in school history, running a 56.35 at the NCAA East Regional. She would go on to qualify for the NCAA Championships along with fellow senior Micha Powell (400m).
  • Juniors Claudia Ababio and Emma O’Hara made waves in the throws, as Ababio became the program’s record  holder in the discus (180-08) while O’Hara set a new record in the hammer (191-04).
  • The Terrapin relays also got in on the record-breaking, with new program-best marks set in the sprint medley relay (Meneau, Baxter, Powell, Lucki - 3:53.67) and distance medley relay (Squrini, Huggins, Voelpel, Lucki - 11:22.31).
