WOMEN'S LACROSSE

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Champions

  • The Maryland women’s lacrosse team went undefeated for the fifth time in program history en route to the Terps’ 14th national title.
  • Head coach Cathy Reese led Maryland to their fourth NCAA Championship with her at the helm. In her time in College Park as a student-athlete, assistant and head coach, Reese has won 11 national titles.
  • Senior co-captains Nadine Hadnagy and Zoe Stukenberg led the Terps to the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. Hadnagy was named the conference and national defender of the year while Stukenberg earned conference and national midfielder of the year honors. The duo were named Tewaaraton Award finalists while Stukenberg took home the highest honor in college lacrosse.
  • Five Terps were named IWLCA All-Americans, including first teamers Zoe Stukenberg, Nadine Hadnagy and Megan Taylor
  • As just a sophomore, Megan Taylor backlined the Terps in goal and repeated as Big Ten Goalie of the Year while also earning national goalie of the year honors.
  • The Terps welcomed the top-ranked freshman class in the nation in 2017.
  • In summer 2017, 17 current or former Terps competed at the FIL World Cup. Six former Terps led Team USA to the gold medal.
