  • The 2017 Terrapin squad will forever be etched in the program's history books, after Maryland earned its first-ever win over a top-ranked team with a 4-2 victory over No. 1 Florida on February 18.
  • The upset made national headlines, giving head coach Julie Wright her first marquee victory at Maryland in a season that saw the Terps earn three wins over ranked opponents.
  • Wright notched her 200th career victory as a head coach in conference play in 2017, when the Terps knocked off No. 18 Michigan in front of a record crowd at Maryland Softball Stadium.
  • Redshirt senior Juli Strange ended her Maryland career fifth all-time in runs scored (122), while being named the team’s offensive MVP for the season.
