WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Big Ten: 11th
- Maryland turned in a fine season on the outdoor track, highlighted by the team’s five qualifiers for the NCAA East Regional Championships in May.
- Three Terps advanced out of the Regionals to the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships, as Chioma Onyekwere, Micha Powell and Alexandra Lucki all represented Maryland in Eugene, Oregon.
- Three school records fell on the season as Onyekwere (discus, 178’07”), Powell (51.97) and the sprint medley relay squad (Powell, Meneau, Voelpel & Lucki, 3:54.92) rewrote the history books for the Terps with new all-time best marks.
- Maryland claimed a team victory at the Maryland Invite while finishing 11th at the Big Ten Championships.
