  • Maryland finished the 2015-16 season ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press and No. 12 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll with a 27-9 overall record, marking the first time in program history the Terps have put together back-to-back 27-plus win seasons.
  • Freshman Diamond Stone established the Maryland freshman record and all-time mark at XFINITY Center with 39 points against Penn State in his inaugural Big Ten game and added Maryland single-game records for free throws made (19) and attempted (25). Jake Layman finished his career tied for first all-time in games played (141).
  • Head coach Mark Turgeon led the Terrapins to a 24-6 record through their first 30 Big Ten games, becoming the fastest Big Ten coach to reach 20 conference wins since former Illinois head coach Bruce Weber guided the Illini to 20 wins in his first 23 games at the helm during the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons.
  • The Terrapins led the Big Ten and ranked fifth nationally in attendance in 2015-16, averaging 17,863 fans per game.
  • Following the season, Stone (LA Clippers) and Layman (Portland Trailblazers) were each selected in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft. Stone and Layman joined Robert Carter, Jr. and Melo Trimble at the 2016 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.
