Big Ten Regular Season & Tournament Champions

  • The women’s basketball team continued its success in the Big Ten, winning the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles once again.  The Terps earned a record of 31-4 overall and went 16-2 in Big Ten play.  Maryland maintained its perennial standing in the top 10 throughout the year, ending the season with a No.5 ranking in both the final Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.
  • Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough earned All-Big Ten First Team honors, as well as various All-America honors. Brene Moseley earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors and was named Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year.  The Terrapins led the country, in men’s and women’s teams, in rebounding margin (+15.1). Walker-Kimbrough led the NCAA and set a Big Ten record with her three-point FG percentage of 54.5 percent. Jones led the nation with her FG percentage of 66.5 percent.
  • Six Terrapins earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, including Kristen Confroy, Malina Howard, Brionna Jones, Kiara Leslie, Chloe Pavlech and Tierney Pfirman.
