  • In head coach Julie Wright's first season, the Terps won 12 games and four conference matchups. Throughout the season, Maryland knocked off three NCAA Tournament teams, including top-25 opponents Florida Atlantic and Nebraska.
  • Senior Lindsey Schmeiser capped off her stellar career breaking two records throughout the season. On February 19, Schmeiser broke the school’s all-time home run record (31) with a homer against No. 5 Alabama. On April 10, in front of her home crowd, the Dunkirk, Md. native broke the schoo’ls all-time runs record (130) against Michigan State.
  • Junior Sarah Calta and Sophomore Skylynne Ellazar had career years. Calta earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors by batting .408 in Big Ten play. Against NCAA Tournament teams Ohio State and Nebraska, the junior hit .632 with two triples and five RBIs. Ellazar hit .399 on the season, which stands as the third best single season average in school history.
