MEN'S LACROSSE

Big Ten Regular Season Champions • NCAA Finalists

Casey Ikeda earned First Team All-America and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors.

• Maryland finished the season with a 15-3 record and earned an NCAA Tournament bid for the 13th consecutive season, which is the longest active streak in the nation.

• The Terrapins advanced to the NCAA Championship game for the third time in the last five seasons, and took part in their fourth NCAA Final Four in the past five seasons.

• The Terps won a school-record 15 games, breaking the previous mark of 14 games which was set in 1998. Maryland has won at least 10 games in 13 consecutive seasons – the longest active streak in the NCAA.

• Senior Casey Ikeda and junior Kyle Bernlohr earned USILA First Team All-America honors, senior Joe LoCascio and Matt Dunn were named to the Third Team and senior Charlie Raffa was an Honorable Mention. It was Raffa’s second consecutive All-America honor. Ikeda was also named a USILA Scholar All-American.

• Junior Kyle Bernlohr received the Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s top goalie. Maryland is the first school to claim the award in back-to-back seasons with different goalies since 1961-62.

• Senior Casey Ikeda earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, leading an All-Big Ten First Team that also included Kyle Bernlohr, Joe LoCascio and Matt Rambo. Jay Carlson and Charlie Raffa were named Honorable Mention.

• The Terrapin defense led the nation in scoring defense the entire season, allowing just 7.05 goals/g. Kyle Bernlohr also led the nation in goals against average (6.95).

• Sophomore Matt Rambo led the offense with 59 points (40 goals, 19 assists), becoming the first Terrapin to score 40 goals in a season since Joe Walters in 2004.
