NCAA Tournament 3rd Round
• Big Ten Coach of the Year Mark Turgeon led the Terps to a school-record 26 wins in the regular season en route to punching their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.
• Maryland cracked the Associated Press poll Top 10 for the first time since Feb. 3, 2003 and was ranked among the Top 25 for 15 consecutive weeks, the longest such streak since the 2002-03 season.
• Maryland finished its inaugural season in the Big Ten with a perfect 9-0 home record, which included victories against then-No. 5 Wisconsin, Michigan State and Indiana. Overall, Maryland boasted an 18-1 home mark at XFINITY Center.
• The Terps’ 28 wins on the year marked an 11-game improvement from their 17 victories during the 2013-14 season – the second-highest improvement among Power Five schools.
• Senior Dez Wells (first team), freshman Melo Trimble (first team) and junior Jake Layman (third team) all earned All-Big Ten honors.
