Big Ten Regular Season Champions
• Maryland continued to dominate women’s lacrosse, winning the program’s 13th national championship and second consecutive title. The Terps compiled a 21-1 record in 2015, marking the 10th time in program history the team has hit the 20-win mark in a season. The Terps won their nation’s best 13th national championship and 12th NCAA title. Maryland’s women’s lacrosse NCAA championships rank fourth for most women’s titles across all sports.
• Five players were named IWLCA All-Americans in 2015, and Taylor Cummings became the youngest player to repeat as the Tewaaraton Award winner, given to the nation’s best collegiate lacrosse player.
• The Terps competed in the first-ever season of Big Ten lacrosse and won the regular season title. Maryland compiled a 5-0 record in conference play and eight student-athletes were named to the All-Big Ten team. Brooke Griffin, Taylor Cummings and Megan Douty were named the Big Ten Attacker, Midfielder and Defender of the Year, respectively.
• Taylor Cummings led the Terps with 100 points (63G, 37A), 41 ground balls, 143 draw controls and 36 caused turnovers while Megan Whittle had an impressive freshman campaign and led the team with 67 goals.
