Big Ten Regular Season Champions

Season Honors

• Maryland eased its way into the Big Ten with the first league title in school history. The Terrapins went 7-1 in conference play to win the regular season title.

• The Terrapins went on a 13-game win streak over course of the season to remain ranked at No. 2 in the country.

• The Terrapins led the country in scoring with 92 goals scored in 23 games played.

• In addition to winning the Big Ten regular season title, the Terrapins racked up league honors. Senior Maxine Fluharty was named Big Ten Player of the Year, junior Sarah Sprink was voted Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and Moira Putsch was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Missy Meharg was named Big Ten Coach of the Year. Fluharty and Sprink earned All-Big Ten First Team honors, while senior Brooke Cabrera, junior Anna Dessoye and senior Katie Gerzabek earned Second Team honors.

• Three Terrapins were named NFHCA All-Americans. Fluharty and Sprink each earned First Team nods, while Gerzabek made the Third Team.

• Nine Terrapins earned All-Big Ten Academic honors, including Fluharty, Gerzabek, Sprink, Brooke Adler, Marissa Cutry, Delaney Leathers, Welma Luus, Alyssa Parker and Steffi Schneid.
