WOMEN'S LACROSSE

  • The Terps are 19-0 this season and won both the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.
    This season, Maryland has five players on the 25-person Tewaaraton nominees list and six Terps were unanimously named All-Big Ten.
  • The Terrapins also feature the Big Ten Attack Player, Midfielder, Defensive Player and Goaltender of the Year.
  • In 2015, Maryland earned its second straight and 13th program national title and the Big Ten regular season championship.
  • The Terps were 21-1 last season with five IWLCA All-Americans, the IWLCA National Coach, Midfielder and Defender of the Year and the Tewaaraton winner.

BASEBALL

  • (2016) Has earned seven Big Ten weekly honors, the most weekly conference honors in school history.
  • Notched the best season in school history in 2015, winning a Maryland record 42 games and making their second consecutive Super Regional appearance.
  • (2015) Defeated top overall seed UCLA to win the Los Angeles Regional. Maryland is one of just six schools nationally to have made consecutive Super Regional Appearances.
  • (2015) Advanced the final of the Big Ten Tournament.
  • (2015) Recorded a school record 36 regular season wins and advanced to consecutive NCAA Tournaments for the first time in 44 years.
  • (2015) Notched back-to-back 40 win seasons for the first time in school history.
  • (2015) Produced a school record eight players selected in the 2015 MLB Draft.
  • (2015) Recorded 549 strikeouts, the most in school and Big Ten history for a single season.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

  • Advanced to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament and advanced to their first Sweet 16 in 13 seasons (2003)
  • Posted 27 victories and opened the regular season with a 15-1 record – the best start in program history
  • Maryland, ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press and No. 17 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll, f finished 27-9 - marking the first time in program history the Terps have put together consecutive 27-plus win seasons
  • Maryland featured five All-Big Ten performers, including guard Melo Trimble, center Diamond Stone, forwards Jake Layman and Robert Carter, Jr., as well as guard Rasheed Sulaimon
  • Under Turgeon’s direction, Maryland posted victories over five teams that advanced to the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

  • Team won second straight Big Ten regular season and tournament titles
  • Team captured 31 wins, despite losing top two scorers from last year and with two new coaches
  •  Brenda Frese won WBCA Regional Coach of the Year
  •  Finished the season 31-4 and 16-2 in Big Ten
  •  Terps boast an incredible 34-2 record in Big Ten in first two seasons

FIELD HOCKEY

  • Team finished with a 19-4 overall record (8-0 B1G) – team has a 15-1 B1G record in first two seasons
  • Team won second straight Big Ten regular season title with perfect 8-0 in conference play, as well as first Big Ten Tournament title
  •  Missy Meharg won Big Ten Coach of the Year for the second straight season

MEN'S LACROSSE

  • (2015) Appeared in NCAA Finals; earning back-to-back Final Four appearances and also appearing in fourth Final Four in past five seasons
  •  (2015) Had a program-record 15 wins
  •  (2015) Terps posted an 11-game win streak – longest streak in 28 years
  •  (2015) Terps featured the top-ranked defense in the country
  •  (2015) Claimed a share of the Big Ten regular season title
  •  (2015) Team had five All-Americans and five All-Big Ten selections
  •  (2016) Program had record six players chosen in Major League Lacrosse Draft – all in the first 19 selections
  • 2016) Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Champions

MEN'S SOCCER

  • Captured a fourth-consecutive Big Ten Tournament championship with a win over top-seeded and host Ohio State
  • Defeated the last two national champions (Virginia, Notre Dame) on its way to the Elite Eight where it lost to eventual College Cup finalist Clemson
  • Defeated then-No. 1 UCLA in front of a Ludwig Field record crowd
