NEIDERMEIER
- Has persevered through two ACL and a wrist surgery to become Maryland’s starting goalkeeper this season
- Helped guide Maryland to its fourth straight league championship and was named Most Valuable Defensive Player of the tournament
- Made four consecutive saves in the penalty kick round of the Big Ten semifinal matchup vs. Indiana
- Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner
BRENE MOSELEY // WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
- Played in 142 career games – third most in program history
- Reached 1,000 career points with 1,048 total in her career
- Helped lead team to 2012 ACC title, 2012 Elite Eight, 2015 and 2016 Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, 2014 and 2015 Final Fours
- Tore her ACL in high school, missing her senior season. Rehabbed to come back for her freshman year at Maryland, where she averaged 17.4 minutes and 6.9 points per game. Tore her other ACL in October of her sophomore season. Once she returned the following season, her minutes diminished on the bench. As a fifth-year senior this season, set career-highs across the board, averaging 22.5 minutes with 11.5 points per game. Led the Big Ten with her assist/turnover ratio of 2.4, averaging 5.9 assists per game.
BRENNA NATION // SOFTBALL
- Father passed away from Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease this fall.
- Has battled all offseason to get back in the circle.
- Threw first Terrapin no-hitter in three years on March 13th against Saint Louis.
- Leads the Terps in appearances and games started.
TAYLER STILES // BASEBALL
- Developed into Maryland’s Saturday starter in 2015 before suffering a potentially career ending eye injury when a ball was lined off his face against Cal State Fullerton.
- Missed the remainder of the season and went through multiple surgeries to repair a fractured orbital bone and other eye injuries.
- Returned to pitch in the fall before starting the regular season with no issues in the spring. Now wears a protective mask when on the mound.
- Has become Maryland’s most dependable midweek starter and holds a 2-2 record with a 4.83 ERA and 21 strikeouts
ALEXANDRA STANOVA // TENNIS
- Was emerging into one of the best singles players in the Big Ten, including earning Big ten Player of the Week honors, before suffering a season ending knee injury.
- Returned this season and worked her way back to the No. 1 spot in the Terps’ lineup, battling some of the top players in the country week in and week out
RASHEED SULAIMON // MEN'S BASKETBALL
- Overcame personal adversity in his final season at Duke and joined Maryland as a graduate transfer for his final collegiate season
- Quickly became recognized as a team leader who led the Terps to their first Sweet 16 appearance in 13 years (2003)
- Earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors after averaging 11.3 points and 3.5 assists as a senior
- Helped lead Maryland to 27 wins as the Terps opened up the regular season with a 15-1 record - the best start in program history
