- Appeared in a career-best 27 games off the bench for the Terps and led Maryland to 27 wins and its first appearance in the Sweet 16 since 2003
- Was the recipient of the inaugural Big Ten Medal of Honor, given to a student-athlete from the graduating class who had attained the greatest proficiency in athletics and scholastic work
- Earned All-Big Ten Academic honors
- Was nominated among the Top 15 male and female semifinalists for the 2016 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine in March
- Spent parts of past two summers in India volunteering for Hoops Creating Hope – a two-week program for students to create and develop a link between leadership, character, teamwork and communications

ALICE MERCER // WOMEN'S LACROSSE
- As of 4/12: Leads the Maryland defense that has just two returning starters and is holding opponents to 6.50 goals per game, which ranks fifth in the nation
- Senior captain for the undefeated Terps
- Named to the 2016 Tewaaraton Watch List and preseason first team All-American
- Selected to 2015-16 U.S. National Team
- Named All-Big Ten and an IWLCA Second Team All-American in 2015
ANTHONY PAPIO // BASEBALL
- Has developed from walk-on to one of the most dependable players in Maryland history. Has played in 206 career games, the eighth most of any active player in the nation.
- (2015) Had the best season of his career, batting .262 with a career high 16 doubles and six home runs. Also tied a career high with seven stolen bases and slugged a career best .425.
- (2015) Flourished in the postseason and earned Los Angeles Regional All-Tournament honors after notching the winning RBI in the regional title game against UCLA.
- (2016, as of 4/11) Has served as one of Maryland’s team leaders while serving as an option all over the outfield.
LINDSEY SCHMEISER // SOFTBALL
- One of the most illustrious players in Maryland softball history.
- Holds the records for most home runs and runs all time, most doubles in a season, most RBI’s in a season.
- 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year
- 2013 All-ACC First Team, All-Big Ten First Team.
- Career .334 batting average; Senior leader on the Terrapin squad this season
