- Led the Terps to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament and their first berth in the Sweet 16 in 13 years (2003)
- Led Maryland to 27 victories and opened the regular season with a 15-1 record – the best start in program history
- Under Turgeon’s direction, Maryland posted victories over five teams that advanced to the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
- The Terps also defeated rival Georgetown in a monumental game played on the College Park campus for the first time in four decades
- Maryland, ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press and No. 17 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll, finished 27-9, marking the first time in program history the Terps have put together consecutive 27-plus win seasons

- Captured a fourth-consecutive Big Ten Tournament championship with a win over top-seeded and host Ohio State
- Defeated the last two national champions (Virginia, Notre Dame) on its way to the Elite Eight where it lost to eventual College Cup finalist Clemson
- Guided a team which routinely started four freshmen
- Set Ludwig Field attendance record in a win over then-No. 1 UCLA

- Helped team to first team win since 2010
- Led team to third-place finish in the Big Ten Tournament – highest finish in 30 years
- Helped Tom Harris and David Kocher to three total individual wins – most in school history
JOHN SZEFC // BASEBALL
- Has led Maryland to its most successful three-year run in school history.
- (2015) Won a school record 42 games and 36 regular season games.
- (2015) Advanced to consecutive NCAA Tournaments for the first time in 44 years.
- (2015) Advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals after defeating top overall seed UCLA and finished two wins away from the College World Series.
- (2015) Advanced to the Big Ten Tournament Final.
- (2015) Guided a school record eight MLB Draft picks and single season record four All-American selections.
- (2015) Has the most wins of any coach in Maryland history over his first four seasons. Notched back-to-back 40 win seasons for the first time in program history. Became the fastest coach in Maryland history to win 100 games.
- (2016) Terps have won 18 games and are third in the Big Ten

- (2015) Led team to the NCAA Finals; earning back-to-back Final Four appearances and also appearing in the Final Four for the fourth time in five seasons as head coach
- (2015) Led Maryland to a program-record 15 wins
- (2015) Terps posted an 11-game win streak – longest streak in 28 years
- (2015) Terps featured the top-ranked defense in the country
- (2015) Claimed a share of the Big Ten regular season title
- (2015) Team had five All-Americans
- (2016) Program had record six players chosen in Major League Lacrosse Draft – all in the first 19 selections
- (2016) Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament champions
