Stanley Bobb Baseball Player Development Center
University of Maryland

In the last 10 years, Maryland Baseball has advanced to two NCAA Super Regionals, three NCAA Tournaments, and five conference tournaments. During that time, the program has garnered 11 All-Americans, 26 All-Conference nominations, and 38 MLB Draft picks. Brandon Lowe, one of Maryland’s most notable standouts and a 2015 MLB Draft pick, was recently named a finalist for the American League Rookie of the Year award.

To elevate Maryland Baseball on the national landscape, an indoor hitting and pitching facility is a necessity. This state-of-the-art facility will allow our Baseball student-athletes the opportunity to train year-round in a controlled environment, allowing them to hone their skills no matter the conditions.

Every decision that we make has our student-athletes' well-being at the forefront. There are two reasons that guys come to Maryland -- to get a first-class education and to develop into the best player they possibly can. This new facility will further enhance the day-to-day life of our young men. It will ooze player development. It will prepare our student-athletes to win a Big Ten Championship regardless of weather and will prepare us to compete on day one of our spring season. The manner in which this state-of-the-art facility will affect our young men on a daily basis will be unparalleled.
