Jones-Hill House will be a real-world living laboratory of sport science where innovators, doctors, athletes and trainers converge to study and treat sports injuries of all kinds.

The Center for Sports Medicine, Health, and Human Performance
  • A state-of-the-art research center at Jones-Hill House where clinicians and academics will use “team science” to improve the health of people of all ages
  • The partnership between the University of Maryland, College Park and UMB will bring experts in neuroscience, imaging technology, bioengineering, kinesiology, orthopedics, and other disciplines.
  • The clinical treatment center will serve thousands of patients in the region each year, with more than 40,000 square feet of space devoted to research

  • Students from across campus will brainstorm, collaborate, and launch enterprises through Fearless Ideas courses
  • The space will allow for the expansion of the student-run Startup Shell program, providing more opportunities for our students to develop and pitch ideas, validate business plans, and gain valuable feedback from successful entrepreneurs
