• Leader and top midfielder on the No. 1 women’s lacrosse team, that currently stands at 18-1 and has clinched the Big Ten Regular Season title.
• Currently leads Maryland with 50 goals, 22 assists, 72 points, while also standing second on the team with 31 groundballs.
• Has seven games this season with over three goals and has over three points in 11 of 15 contests.
• Considered the top midfielder in the country, Giles has been named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and a preseason All-American. A two-time All American.
BAILEY BOYD
Softball
Sr., Silver Spring, Md.
• Transferred from Towson to Maryland after two years of playing softball, didn’t plan on continuing her softball career
• Had a batting average of .193 at Towson, in her two years playing at Maryland has increased her career BA to .250 and has bat at a .296 mark during her Maryland career.
• Emerged as a senior leader in the infield with a primarily younger group.
• Always seen at practice early and staying late, getting in extra hitting and fielding work.
JULIE DUNCAN
Field Hockey
• Played in 77 games and made six starts in her career, scoring 4 goals with 4 assists.
• Member of the SAAC advisory board and community outreach liaison.
• Key role player that helped team to six Big Ten titles, four NCAA Tournaments and 2 appearances in the NCAA championship game.
• Three-time All-Big Ten Academic honoree
• Three-time NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree.
RACHEL EGYED
Women's Soccer
Sr., Clifton, N.J.
• Kept Maryland in close games all season long, making clutch saves in key moments. Overcame numerous injuries throughout her career.
• Made 7 saves vs. #14 Northwestern to help Maryland clinch its first win over a ranked team since 2014.
• Earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors for the second straight year.
• Notched 93 saves and averaged 5.2 saves per game, both ending the season tied for the conference lead, and had a career low 1.12 goals against average.
• Earned Big Ten Goaltender of the Week honors on September 11.

Women's Golf

• Has competed in every event for the Terrapins this year.
• Member of the SAAC advisory board and student-athlete engagement liaison.
• Started the Worldwide Terps group and social media to highlight Maryland Athletics’ diversity.
• Earned a top-10 finish and two top-20 finishes so far this year.
• All-Big Ten Academic honoree.
