ALSO NOMINATED

FIELD HOCKEY

• Five freshmen starters helped lead Terps to NCAA title game

• Maryland started the season at 6-5, then won 11 of 13 games to end the season to make a run to its 18th NCAA Final Four as a program.

• The Terrapins picked up nine wins over ranked teams and five over top 10 teams.

• They beat No. 6 Penn State, won at No. 3 Virginia, No. 2 Duke in the Elite Eight and beat No. 3 Michigan in the Final Four

GYMNASTICS

• Went 21-8 and 6-4 in the Big Ten to earn an NCAA Regional birth. Finished fourth at the Raleigh Regional.

• Participated in the Big Ten Championships evening session for the first time.

• Brett Nelligan named Big Ten Coach of the Year and Audrey Barber and Alecia Farina earned All-Big Ten honors.

• Squad earned the fourth best score in program history, and the best of Nelligan’s tenure (196.575).

• Earned a bars score of 49.300 in that same meet was the third-best score in program history.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

• Terrapins picked up their eighth straight season with 25 or more wins.

• The Terrapins lost over 60 percent of their scoring from last year’s Sweet Sixteen team and turned around to earn a record of 26-8, 12-4 in Big Ten play.

• Went to their fourth straight Big Ten Championship game and eighth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

• Went 5-1 in World University Games in Taiwan as Team USA

WOMEN'S LACROSSE

• 2017 National Champions, completing a 23-0 season

• (Through 4/4) The Terps have an 10-1 record thus far this season, including a 2-0 mark in the Big Ten

• (Through 4/4) Have defeated five top-ten opponents this season, including No. 4 James Madison in front of a Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex record, 2,361 fans

• Nine Terps were named preseason All-Americans and five were selected as Tewaaraton nominees

• Spring 2017: Won the Big Ten regular season and tournament championships and had five All-Big Ten selections and the National Midfielder, Defender and Goalkeeper of the Year, as well as the Honda Award and Tewaaraton winner
