• Made his first appearances for the Terps this season after recovering from acute lymphocytic leukemia diagnosed in 2015 as a high school senior.

• Also overcome complications from a bone-marrow transplant that had him drop to 126 pounds at one point during his recovery to return to school and baseball.

• Reinstated in the fall and tossed his first ever college bullpen session in November and has been an inspiration to his teammates and coaches because of his resilience and attitude.

Women's Lacrosse

R-Sr., Ellicott City, Md.

• Has overcome injuries throughout tenure in College Park, always deflecting attention off her and helping people around her better each day in practice.

• After tearing her ACL her freshman year, McKay started 21 games the following year, playing an instrumental part on leading Maryland to a championship appearance

• This past summer, had back surgery and hasn't been able to get back to 100% but still shows up with a positive attitude and is a leader each day she's around her teammates

KATIE MYERS
Volleyball

R-Fr., Westerville, Ohio

• Has suffered season-ending knee injuries each of the past two seasons, battling back each time to play the following season, including being granted a medical redshirt for next season.

• Myers was a team captain this season, starting in 10 matches at middle blocker as a team captain before injury in 2017, posting 58 kills at a .325 clip, 43 blocks and 20 digs.

• Team captain last season as an underclassman, serving as a leader on a team that had the most Big Ten wins since its been in the conference

• Lost her mother while in high school.

• After living in foster care, she and her younger brother moved to Tallahassee to live with an AAU coach she knew.

• Was named Miami Tournament MVP in her homecoming game in November and set career-high scoring at home with 23 points, 10 rebounds

Wrestling

R-So., Warren, Ohio

• Wrestled following his father’s passing last season.

• Missed first half of season with a wrist injury, but returned to Maryland’s lineup and helped Maryland with four dual wins including two B1G wins.

• Also picked up a decision victory at the B1G Championships
