  • Maryland made history on January 10 as the program captured its first-ever victory in the Big Ten with a 26-10 win over Michigan State. It was a day of firsts for the Terps in their win over the Spartans, which included the first Big Ten dual match victories for freshman Wade Hodges (141), redshirt-freshman Garrett Wesneski (197) and freshman Youssif Hemida (285).
  • Redshirt senior Geoffrey Alexander became a four-time NCAA qualifier after taking eighth at the Big Ten Championships March 5-6. Alexander then finished as just the 10th Maryland wrestler to win 100 career matches at the NCAA Championships, defeating NIU’s Austin Eicher in the first round to reach the milestone.
  • Redshirt-sophomore Dawson Peck (285) placed sixth in the field at the 2015 Midlands Championships, while capturing the Midlands Most Falls Award with a tournament-best four pins. Peck entered elite company in Maryland wrestling history after his Midlands performance, becoming just the seventh Terrapin to place at the event in back-to-back seasons. Peck was also just the second Terp to win the Midlands Most Falls Award, after Hudson Taylor also earned the honor in 2008 with four pins.
  • Redshirt-sophomore Tyler Goodwin (133) was named the Cliff Keen Wrestling Outstanding Wrestler of the Match via the BTN broadcast in the Terps’ dual vs. Minnesota on January 9. Goodwin pinned the Gophers’ Sam Brancale at 4:27 for his first career Big Ten win.
  • Maryland’s flashed its future potential at the Messiah Open on February 12, as freshmen Youssif Hemida (285), Josh Ugalde (174) and Danny Boychuck (157) captured tournament titles for the Terps.
  • Maryland pinned 74 opponents on the season, which included a team-best nine falls from redshirt freshman Adam Whitesell (141).
