  • Eight wins in 2022 is the most for the program in a single season since 2010
  • Beat No. 23 NC State in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, giving the Terps bowl wins in consecutive seasons for the first time since winning the Peach Bowl (2002) and Gator Bowl (2003) and the first win over a ranked opponent since 2019.
  • Started season 6-2 to earn bowl eligibility at the earliest date (October 30) since 2001
  • Led by Second Team All-Big Ten Quarterback Taulia Tagovailioa, who has set Maryland career records for passing yards (7,879), passing touchdowns (51), total touchdowns (59), completions (665), completion percentage (67.4), 300-yard passing games (12), passing efficiency (146.2) and total offense (8,067). His current career completion percentage is the best of any Big Ten quarterback all-time.
  • Had five Terps selected in 2023 NFL Draft, the most for the program since 2009
Men's Soccer
  • Won the program’s first Big Ten Championship in six years and sixth Big Ten trophy overall since entering the conference.
  • Finished the conference season unbeaten for the first time since 2016.
  • Made its 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament, the second longest active streak in the nation, and 40th NCAA Tournament appearance overall.
  • Won 10 matches for the 28th consecutive fall season.
  • Boasted four first-team All-Big Ten honorees and one All-American. Won nine Big Ten weekly awards.
Women's Basketball
  • Rebuilt team after 2021-22 season and players lost to graduation/transfers
  • Staff recruited and bought in 9 new players and spent the summer trying to help them build relationships get to know each other
  • Terps picked up 9 wins over ranked teams, 5 over top 10 teams, and the program’s first Elite Eight since 2015
  • Diamond Miller’s buzzer-beater shot to win at No. 6 Notre Dame went viral in leading the Terrapins to a huge road win early in the year
  • The squad picked up the program’s first-ever win over No. 6 UConn, 85-78, on Dec. 11 at XFINITY
  • The Terrapins avenged an early Feb loss at Iowa by handing the Hawkeyes their worst loss in the Caitlin Clark era. Four Terps scored in double figures as they beat Iowa, 96-68 on Feb. 21
  • The Terps beat Holy Cross, No. 25 Arizona and No. 10 Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament to advance to the Elite Eight
  • Team earned a record of 28-7 overall and earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament
